Then read on to learn how to make a minced meat roll with cheese.

Ingredients:

(1 meatloaf with cheese)

  • 1 kg. minced meat
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp. breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp garlic seasoning or 2-3 cloves fresh garlic
  • 6-8 slices of ham
  • 12 plates of processed cheese (sandwich cheese)
  • 100-150 gr. fresh spinach
  • 12 strips of bacon (150-200 gr.)
  • foil
  • greens for decoration
  • To make minced meatloaf tasty and juicy, bake it in a well-heated oven. Therefore, the first thing we do is turn on the oven, set the heat to 200°C, and let it warm up.
  • Place the prepared minced meat in a convenient container. You can use minced meat for meatloaf from pork or beef, but it is better to mix it in a proportion of 50% pork and 50% beef.
  • Add 2 eggs, salt, pepper and breadcrumbs to the minced meat. If you don’t have breadcrumbs, you can replace them with white bread soaked in milk.
  • I pay attention to salt, I use coarse rock salt. If you use “Extra” salt, you should add less of it, as it is saltier. Well, in general, salt and pepper should be added to your taste, as you usually put on meat cutlets.
  • We also add dry garlic seasoning or fresh garlic to the minced meat for the roll, which we peel and then crush in a garlic press.
  • Finely grate three onions.
  • Knead the minced meat thoroughly until it becomes homogeneous and plastic. If the minced meat is dry, then add a little mineral water, this will add juiciness to our minced meat roll. If the minced meat was initially wet, which is usually the case with purchased minced meat, then we do not add water.
  • Line a cutting board with foil, place the minced meat on the foil so that you get a rectangle of approximately the same thickness.
  • Place a layer of thinly sliced ham on top of the minced meat. On one edge, which will be the outer edge, we leave a small strip without ham. The strip is needed so that the minced meat roll is well fixed and does not unfold during cooking. We also try to ensure that the filling does not extend beyond the edges of the minced meat.
  • Place slices of processed cheese on top of the ham; this cheese is also called sandwich cheese for sandwiches. If your budget allows, you can put more cheese than indicated in the recipe, then the cheese layer in the roll will be thicker, and the roll itself will be more tender, tasty and beautiful.
  • Place fresh spinach leaves, previously washed and dried, on top of the cheese. The quantity depends on your taste. It should be noted that during cooking the layer of spinach becomes thinner, so if you add little spinach, then it will practically not be visible.
  • That's almost all, now we will roll our minced meat roll. Roll slowly using foil.
  • It turns out like this meat roll. Be sure to carefully cover the sides with minced meat so that all the cheese does not leak out in the oven.
  • Place thinly sliced bacon on a sheet of foil. If the bacon has skin, it should be cut off. Place the pieces of bacon overlapping each other to create a meaty web))))).
  • The number of strips of bacon depends on their size, so when you buy bacon, take extra. I used one and a half packages, about 150 grams. You may have more or less depending on the thickness of the slice.
  • Place the minced meat roll with cheese on the edge of this sheet, and then, using foil, wrap the roll in bacon.
  • Transfer the roll to a baking sheet that has been previously greased with oil. Place the baking sheet in a well-heated oven.
  • Bake minced meatloaf for 40-50 minutes at a temperature of 200-220°C. If the roll browns too quickly, cover the roll with foil.
  • The result is such a handsome meatloaf, with a very appetizing golden brown crust of baked bacon.
  • To check readiness, pierce the roll with a pin or toothpick. If a clear liquid flows out, then the roll is ready; if there is blood, then we increase the baking time.
  • Let the roll cool slightly, transfer to a plate, decorate with herbs and serve. Minced meat roll with cheese can be served either hot or cold. In the first case, we get a hot meat dish that goes great with mashed potatoes. In the second case, we will have a cold meat appetizer.
